Update…
Well, it seems that Mrs. Who’s favorite template isn’t the only one that was broken. WP has opened a WP 2.1 Theme Compatibility List. Wish I had seen that before I ran the conversion – which changes the databases and cannot be ‘undone’ without a delete and restore from backup. Uh… While I’m fairly confident that the database backups are good, I’d just as soon not risk it unless I absolutely have to. I’d rather build a new theme than lose her data! (That almost happened once, during the export-import from *spit* Blogger *spit*)
Anyway, I’ve done what I can to attempt to appease her somewhat, but I’m not at all satisfied with my efforts… This theme isn’t as elegant as the last, but it’s relatively easy to tweak. However, I’m not going to go too far with it before she has her say…
Maybe I’ll play more with it after she’s had a chance to look. Let me know if there’s anything that’s not working correctly.
