A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
Students have drawn many, many pictures of me over the years. But the picture I got today was rather interesting. The young boy who drew it included his best friend in the scene, with both of them cheering (apparently) me.
As for the ‘me’ in that drawing…let’s just say I had an extremely dark tan and my breasts are apparently in my armpits. No wonder I have such problems finding a good bra.
If I remember to bring the picture home tomorrow, I’ll try to put it up here. I rather like it.

I don’t think Rachel hasn’t yet tried to draw any of her family members yet. I don’t think it’s occurred to her because she takes ART so seriously… I’m also pretty sure that she wouldn’t be able to resist putting bicycle mustaches, Harry Potter glasses and warts on all of us. (FUNNY! She just came upstairs for information and I asked her if she had ever thought of drawing any of us. She said No. Then thought about it for a few seconds and said, “I wouldn’t be able to draw any of you without adding tattoos and mustaches.”) Believe me. I’d rather be drawn with armpit breasts. I don’t even want to know what her vivid imagination would come up with.
