Me? An award?
I’d like to thank my family for supporting me, all my friends for encouraging me, and I’d like to especially thank the Academy for my nomination for recognizing my rare talent and abilities and…
Oops, wrong daydream!
Actually, the thanks go to Tink for giving me the nod for this fantabulous (I love using made-up words) award:
Tink is one of the greatest and generous minds around. She even gave me a ‘Babylon 5′ virtual party’ for my birthday last year. Tink is a talented lady! I just wish I could give this award ‘back’ to her…she deserves it!
However, I am supposed to pass this on to three other fantastic Rockin’ Girl Bloggers. It was so, so hard to limit the number. All you bloggin’ ladies really deserve it.
But first, to my Blog Mama, Bou. She encouraged me and pushed and shoved me (gently, of course) to start blogging. Blogging has been a way for me to relieve stress, but along the way I have met so many wonderful people. Thank you, Bou for helping me find a new realm of relationships!
Secondly, I want to recognize Holly at Politics of a Patriot. She is a young woman who has faced setbacks and challenges in her choice of paths, but she keeps creating new paths. America’s future is very, very bright indeed with young people like her coming up.
And thirdly, I’ll choose Roses over at Ack!Thbbbt!. (I’ve always liked that blog name, because I feel like I’ve had a ‘Bill the Cat’ life!). I enjoy reading about her exploits in the radio business, and she is a female version of Harvey with her rapier wit.
So thank you, ladies, for adding laughter and joy to my life.
And, of course, I couldn’t be a Rockin’ Blogger Girl without some music. I since I am a middle-aged mature girl, and my pieces-parts are, umm, starting to become, shall we say, more curveous (there’s another one of those fun made-up words), what better rockin’ song than the one below. It might not be safe for work or young children…but it’s really art, so it SHOULD be safe, but I’ll let YOU make the decision!
